Material Ledger - Cost component structures assignment to company and controlling area

Hi gurus,

in my SAP project Material Ledger and Budget Costing are active. My client has many companies belonging to the same controlling area.

I have doubt/question about the cost component structure assignment:

Different companies belonging to the same controlling area could be assigned to different cost component structures?

I know that in OKTZ spro transaction there's the possibility to do it but if I look at the setting of version "0" in spro [controlling -> general controlling-> organization-> maintain version] i see that there's a "cost component structure" field where it's possible to assing only one value for controlling area/version.

The second question is related to first one: what's the meaning of the "cost component structure" field in version customizing? What valueshould it have?
